Hadith 2547
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up and performed the Fajr prayer, and he (Abu Sa'id) was behind him. The Prophet recited (Qur'an), but his recitation became confused. When he finished the prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If only you could have seen me and Iblis. I stretched out my hand and kept choking him, until I felt the coolness of his saliva between my thumb and the finger next to it. If it were not for the supplication of my brother Sulaiman (peace be upon him), he would have been left in such a state that he would have been tied to one of the pillars of the mosque, and the children of Madinah would have played with him. Whoever among you is able, during prayer, not to let anything come between him and his qiblah, then let him do so."
