Hadith 2524
- (كانَ إذا جاءَ البابَ يستأذِنُ لم يستقبِلْهُ، يقولُ: يمشي مع الحائطِ حتى يستأذِنَ فَيُؤذنُ لهُ أو ينصرِفُ) .
The companion of the Messenger, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Busr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When he (the Prophet) would come to the door, he would seek permission and would not stand facing it. He says: He would walk along the wall until he had sought permission, then either he would be granted permission or he would turn back.
