Is poetry blameworthy?
Hadith 2523
- (كان أبْغَضَ الحديث إليهِ. يعني: الشِّعْرَ) .
Nawfal bin Abu Aqrab says: Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked: Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) listen to poetry? She said: This was the most disliked thing to him.
