Equal treatment of children
Hadith 2519
- (فَهَلا عَدَلْتَ بينهما؟! يعني: الابنَ والبنتَ) .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), his son came to him, he kissed him and seated him on his thigh. Then his daughter arrived, he seated her beside him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you not do justice between them both?"
