Importance of public praise or criticism
Hadith 2509
- " أهل الجنة من ملأ الله أذنيه من ثناء الناس خيرا، وهو يسمع، وأهل النار من ملأ أذنيه من ثناء الناس شرا، وهو يسمع ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The person of Paradise is the one whom Allah causes to hear good praise from people and he is listening, and the person of Hell is the one whom Allah causes to hear evil from people and he is listening."
