Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most beloved to me among you and the closest to me in assembly on the Day of Resurrection will be the one among you who has the best character. And the most disliked to me among you and the farthest from me on the Day of Resurrection will be those who are talkative, those who put on airs in their speech, and those who are arrogant." The Companions said: We understand the meaning of «ثرثارون» and «متشدقون», but who are meant by «متفيقهون»? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The arrogant."
