Iman is proof of Allah's love
Hadith 2485
- " إن الله قسم بينكم أخلاقكم كما قسم بينكم أرزاقكم، وإن الله يعطي الدنيا من يحب ومن لا يحب ولا يعطي الإيمان إلا من أحب، فمن ضن بالمال أن ينفقه وخاف العدو أن يجاهده وهاب الليل أن يكابده، فليكثر من قول: سبحان الله، [ والحمد لله] ولا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Just as Allah Almighty has distributed your sustenance among you, likewise He has distributed your character among you. And indeed, Allah gives the world to the one He loves and to the one He does not love, but He grants faith only to the one He loves. So whoever is miserly in spending wealth, fears fighting the enemy, and is distressed by hardship and toil at night, then he should frequently recite these words: «سبحان الله والحمدلله ولا اله الا الله ، و الله اكبر»."
