The Prophet is the father of the Ummah and his wives are their mothers
Hadith 2475
- (أما ترضى أن أكون أنا أبوك، وعائشة أمّكَ؟ قاله لبشرِ ابنِ عقربة حين بكى لاستشهاد أبيه) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bishr bin Aqabah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: My father was martyred in a battle along with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by me and I was crying. He said to me: "Be quiet, are you not pleased that I am your father and Aisha is your mother?"
