Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to our house when I was a child. When I was about to go out to play, my mother said: O Abdullah! Come here, I will give you something. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "What do you intend to give him?" She said: I will give him a date. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Beware! If you do not give him anything, it will be written as a lie in your record of deeds."
