Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The best of deeds are that you bring happiness to your believing brother, or pay off his debt, or feed him bread."

Sufyan bin ‘Uyaynah narrates from Ibn al-Munkadir, and he narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Making a believer happy, paying off his debt, fulfilling his need, and removing any distress from him are among the best of deeds.” Sufyan says: It was said to Ibn al-Munkadir, “Is there anything left that is delightful?” He said: “Good conduct towards brothers.”
