Hadith 2443
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(1) When the time (of the Hour) draws near, it will not happen that a Muslim's dream will prove to be false. (2) And the truest dream will be of the one among them who is the most truthful in speech. (3) A Muslim's dream is one forty-sixth part of Prophethood." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "(4) There are three (types) of dreams: a good dream is glad tidings from Allah Almighty, a bad dream is distress and grief from Satan, and (besides these) dreams related to ordinary matters are from a person's own thoughts. (5) When any one of you sees a disliked dream, he should not mention it to anyone and should stand up and offer prayer. (6) I like chains in dreams and dislike collars. In reality, chains signify steadfastness in religion."
