Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Show mercy, you will be shown mercy, and forgive, (in return) Allah will forgive you. Destruction is for those people who hear words but do not understand them (i.e., they ignore them), and destruction is also for those who persist, who knowingly persist in what they do."
