Hadith 2410
Abdullah bin Abu Bakr narrates from an Arab, who says: On the day of Hunain, I bumped into the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I had a heavy shoe on my foot. I stepped on the foot of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He had a whip in his hand. He startled me with it and said: «بسم الله», "You have hurt me." He said: I spent the night blaming myself and kept saying that I had hurt the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and Allah knows that I spent the night (in great distress). When morning came, a man was saying: Where is so-and-so? I said: By Allah! (This announcement) is about what happened from me yesterday. I set out, but I was frightened. (When we met,) the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Yesterday you stepped on my foot with your shoe and hurt me, and I startled you with the whip. (Here,) take these (eight?) sheep in exchange for that whip."
