Hadith 2350
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Avoid sitting on the roads. If it is absolutely necessary to do so, then give the road its due right." It was asked: What is its right? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Lowering the gaze, responding to greetings, and guiding the one who does not know (the way)."
