Hadith 2323
Ata bin Yasar says: Indeed, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) towards Yemen. He (Mu'adh) said: O Messenger of Allah! Advise me with some counsel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Adopt taqwa (God-consciousness) as much as you are able, remember Allah near every stone and tree, and whenever you commit a bad deed, repent immediately. The repentance for a hidden sin should be done secretly, and the repentance for an open sin should be done openly."

Hadith 2324
Sahm bin Mu'tamir narrates from Hajimi that he came to Madinah Munawwarah and met the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in one of the streets of Madinah. He found the Prophet (peace be upon him) in such a state that he was wearing a waistcloth made of cotton, and its edge was spread out. Hajimi said: "O Messenger of Allah! The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "«عليك السلام» This is the greeting of men." He said: "O Messenger of Allah! Advise me." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Do not consider any good deed insignificant, even if (that good deed is that you) give someone a rope as a gift, pour water from your bucket into the vessel of one who asks for water, meet your Muslim brother with a cheerful face, comfort the heart of a person afflicted with fear and anxiety, or give someone a strap as a gift."
