Miserliness is destructive; definition and outcome of oppression
Hadith 2299
- " اتقوا الظلم، فإن الظلم ظلمات يوم القيامة، واتقوا الشح، فإن الشح أهلك من كان قبلكم حملهم على أن سفكوا دماءهم واستحلوا محارمهم ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of oppression! For oppression will be darknesses on the Day of Resurrection. And beware of miserliness! For miserliness destroyed those before you. It led them to shed the blood of their own people and to make lawful what was unlawful."
