Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by some of his companions, and there was a child standing in the middle of the road. When his mother saw the cattle coming, she feared that they would trample the child, so she ran in a panic, saying: "My child! My child!" Then she picked up her child. The companions (seeing this scene) said: "O Messenger of Allah! Can this woman throw her son into the fire?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, by Allah! No. Allah the Exalted will not throw His beloved into the fire."
