Hadith 2217
- " إن الله عز وجل لا يقبل من العمل إلا ما كان له خالصا وابتغي به وجهه ".
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: A person fights in jihad for reward and for fame and reputation; what do you think about him? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He will not receive any (reward)." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said this three times: "He will not receive any (reward)." Then he said: "Indeed, Allah the Exalted accepts only those deeds which are done purely for Him and for seeking His pleasure."
