Hadith 2212
- " لا بأس بالغنى لمن اتقى، والصحة لمن اتقى خير من الغنى، وطيب النفس من النعيم ".
Mu’adh bin ‘Abdullah bin Khubaib narrates from his father, who narrates from his uncle Sayyiduna Yasar bin ‘Abdullah Juhani, he says: We were sitting in a gathering when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came there and there were traces of water on his head. One of us said: Today we see you in a more pleasant mood than before. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Yes, (it is so) and for this I thank Allah, the Exalted.” Then people became engaged in talking about wealth, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard their conversation, he said: “If a person is God-fearing, then there is no harm in being wealthy. In any case, for a pious person, health and well-being are better than wealth, and having a cheerful disposition is also a blessing.”
