Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Live as you wish (eventually) you will die; love whomever you wish (eventually) you will be separated; do whatever you wish (eventually) you will be recompensed for it. (Know this much) that the honor of a believer is in the night prayer, and his dignity is in being independent of the people.” This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d, Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah, and Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with them).
