Distribution of booty is by order of the leader
Hadith 2156
- " لم تحل الغنائم لمن كان قبلنا، ذلك بأن الله رأى ضعفنا وعجزنا فطيبها لنا ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spoils of war were not lawful for the people before us. Allah Almighty made them lawful for us due to our weakness and helplessness."
