Hadith 2146
- " إنا لا نستعين بالمشركين على المشركين ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa‘idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out on a Sunday and crossed the Thaniyyah Wada‘. He saw an army equipped with weapons. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: “Who are these people?” The companions said: This is ‘Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul, who is accompanied by six hundred Jewish companions from the tribe of Banu Qaynuqa‘, the tribe of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah bin Salam. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: “Have these people become Muslim?” They said: No, O Messenger of Allah! The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Tell them to go back, for I do not seek help from polytheists against polytheists.”
