Hadith 2129
- " اهج المشركين، فإن جبريل معك ".
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day of Banu Qurayzah: “Satirize the polytheists (through poetry), indeed Jibril (peace be upon him) is with you.”
Hadith 2130
- " إن المؤمن يجاهد بسيفه ولسانه، والذي نفسي بيده لكأن ما ترمونهم به نضح النبل ".
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Indeed, whatever Allah Almighty has revealed regarding poetry, He has revealed (so what is your opinion about poetry now?). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Verily, the believer strives with both his sword and his tongue, and by the One in Whose hand is my soul! Whatever you say to them with your tongue (that is, by condemning the enemies through poetry) affects them like a shower of arrows."
Hadith 2131
- " والذي نفسي بيده لكأنما تنضحونهم بالنبل فيما تقولون لهم من الشعر ".
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul! (Condemning the enemies) The poetry you recite is like shooting arrows at them."
