Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the treasures of Persia (Iran) and Rome are conquered for you, what kind of people will you be at that time?" Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We will say what Allah Almighty has commanded us. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Is there anything else? First, you will compete with each other to take your share, then you will envy one another, then you will sever ties and become enemies of one another, then you will harbor aversion towards each other and adopt such (evil habits), and then you will attack the homes of the Muhajirun and make them fight one another."
