Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Sakhr bin ‘Ailah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when Islam appeared, some people from the Banu Sulaym tribe fled, leaving their lands. I took possession of them, and then they (the people) became Muslim (and returned), and the dispute was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned the lands to them and said: “When a person becomes Muslim, he has a greater right to his land and wealth.”
