Hadith 2103
- " عليكم بالنسلان ".
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The people complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about walking on foot, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called them and said: "Walk briskly." We started walking briskly, and we felt embarrassed in it.
Hadith 2104
- " نهى عن الوحدة: أن يبيت الرجل وحده، أو يسافر وحده ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade solitude, that is, for a man to spend the night alone and to travel alone.
Hadith 2105
- " لو يعلم الناس في الوحدة ما أعلم ما سار راكب بليل وحده (أبدا) ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If people knew what (harm) there is in solitude, then no traveler would set out alone at night."
Hadith 2106
- " الراكب شيطان والراكبان شيطانان والثلاثة ركب ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A single traveler is a devil, two travelers are also devils, but when there are three travelers, they form a caravan."
Hadith 2107
- (خرجَ رجلٌ من (خيبرَ) ، فاتبَعه رجلان، وآخرُ يتلوهما يقول: ارجعا ارجعا، حتَّى ردَّهما، ثم لحق الأول، فقال: إنَّ هذينِ شيطانانِ، وإنِّي لمْ أزلْ بهما حتى رددتهما، فإذا أتيت رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - فأَقرئه السلامَ، وأخبره أنَّا ههنا في جمع صدقاتنا، ولو كانت تصلحُ له لبَعَثْنَا بها إليه. قال: فلمَّا قدمَ الرجلُ المدينةَ أخبرَ النبيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -، فعند ذلك نهى رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - عن الخَلْوةِ) .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: A man left from Khaybar, two men started following him, and there was another behind them who was telling them: "Return, return." (Until) he made them return, then he joined the first man and informed him that those two were devils, I kept following them until I made them return. When you reach the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), convey my greetings to him and inform him that I am collecting charity here; if you (O Prophet) are worthy of it, we will send it. That man reached Madinah and conveyed his message to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade seclusion (being alone).
Hadith 2108
- " نهى عن الخلوة ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a man left from Khaybar, two men started following him, and another man followed those two. The last man kept telling the two: "Turn back," until he caught up with them and made them return. Then he caught up with the first man and said to him: "Those two were devils; I kept distracting them until I made them return." When you reach the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), convey my greetings to him and inform him that I am collecting zakat here; if it is suitable for you, we will send it. When that man reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he narrated the whole incident. At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade seclusion (with non-mahram women).
