Hadith 2093
- (يا أمّ سُليمٍ! إنّ الله عزّ وجلّ قد كفانا وأحسن) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Hunayn, Umm Sulaym was with Abu Talhah. Umm Sulaym also had a dagger with her. Abu Talhah asked: "Umm Sulaym! What is this with you?" She said: "I have picked this up so that if any disbeliever comes near me, I will rip open his belly and take out his intestines." Abu Talhah said: "O Messenger of Allah! Are you hearing what Umm Sulaym is saying? She is saying such and such." I said: "O Messenger of Allah! When they are defeated and become uncontrolled, I will kill them." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Umm Sulaym! Indeed, Allah the Mighty and Majestic has sufficed us and has done excellently."
Hadith 2094
- " اجلسي لا يتحدث الناس أن محمدا يغزو بامرأة ".
Lady Umm Kabsha (may Allah be pleased with her), who belonged to the Qada’ tribe, sought permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to participate in jihad. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I do not grant you permission.” She said: “O Messenger of Allah! I will treat the wounded and take care of the sick.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “You should refrain, lest people say that Muhammad (the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him) takes women out for jihad.”
Hadith 2095
- " لولا أن تكون سنة، يقال: خرجت فلانة! لأذنت لك ولكن اجلسي في بيتك ".
Lady Umm Kabtha (may Allah be pleased with her), who was a woman from the Banu Uzrah tribe, says: O Messenger of Allah! Grant me permission to go out with such-and-such army (for jihad). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No." She said: O Prophet of Allah! I do not wish to fight; my intention is to treat the wounded and take care of the sick. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I did not fear that it would become a routine for people to say that so-and-so has gone out, I would have given you permission. So, you should remain seated in your house."
