Hadith 2092
- (يا ابن رواحة! انزل، فَحَرِّكِ الرِّكاب) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a journey. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me: "Ibn Rawahah! Get down and urge on the mounts." I said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have given up this work." (Upon hearing this) Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Listen and obey." He threw himself down and said: "O Allah! If it were not for You, we would not have been guided, nor given charity, nor prayed. So send down tranquility upon us, and when we meet (the enemy), make our feet firm."
