Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has not participated in jihad, nor prepared a warrior for jihad by providing him with equipment, nor looked after the family of a warrior well in his absence, then Allah, the Exalted, will afflict him with a great (and sudden) calamity or disaster before the Day of Resurrection."
