Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had a ring made and had (Muhammad Rasul Allah) engraved on it, and said: "We have had a ring made and had it engraved, but none of you should have those (words) engraved." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: It is as if I am seeing the shine of the ring in the hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
