Virtue of white hair
Hadith 1975
- " الشيب نور في وجه المسلم، فمن شاء فلينتف نوره ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadala bin Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "White hair is the light of a Muslim's face; whoever wishes, let him pluck out his light."
Hadith 1976
- " الشيب نور المؤمن، لا يشيب رجل شيبة في الإسلام إلا كانت له بكل شيبة حسنة ورفع بها درجة ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "White hair is the light of a believer. For any person whose hair turns white in Islam, for every such hair he receives a good deed and his rank is raised by one degree."
