Hadith 1966
- " البذاذة من الإيمان. يعني التقشف ".
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Brokenness is also a part of faith." That is, intentionally abandoning comfort, pleasure, and prosperity.
Hadith 1967
- " ويل للنساء من الأحمرين: الذهب والمعصفر ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There are two things that are destructive for women: gold and dyed (with safflower) clothes."
Hadith 1968
- " كان يمنع أهله الحلية والحرير ويقول: إن كنتم تحبون حلية الجنة وحريرها فلا تلبسوها في الدنيا ".
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to forbid his family from (wearing) jewelry and silk, and he used to say: "If you like to wear the jewelry and silk of Paradise, then do not wear them in this world."
