Hadith 1947
- " إن الله لا ينظر إلى مسبل الإزار ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah does not look at the one who lets his lower garment hang below the ankles."
Hadith 1948
- " الإزار إلى نصف الساق. فلما رأى شدة ذلك على المسلمين، قال: إلى الكعبين لا خير فيما أسفل من ذلك ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The lower edge of the izar (garment) should be up to the middle of the shin." But when he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that this command was difficult for the Muslims, he said: "Up to the ankles is fine, but there is no good in letting it go below them."
Hadith 1949
- " كل شيء جاوز الكعبين من الإزار في النار ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever part of the lower garment hangs below the ankles, that part will be in the Fire."
Hadith 1950
- " موضع الإزار إلى أنصاف الساقين والعضلة، فإذا أبيت فمن وراء الساقين، ولا حق للكعبين في الإزار ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The lower limit of the izar (garment) is up to the middle of the shins and calves. If you refuse to do so, then let it be below the shin, but the ankles have no right in the izar."
Hadith 1951
- (يا سفيان بن سهل! لاتُسبِل، فإنّ الله لا يحبُّ المسبِلين) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “O Sufyan bin Sahl! Do not let your lower garment hang below the ankles, for Allah does not like those who let their lower garments hang (below the ankles).”
Hadith 1952
- " ارفع إزارك واتق الله ".
Sayyiduna Shuraid (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man in the distance who was dragging his lower garment. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) hurried towards him or rushed to him and said: "Raise your lower garment and fear Allah." He said: "My feet are turned inward and when I walk, my knees knock against each other." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Raise your lower garment, for every creation of Allah is beautiful." After that, that man was not seen except in the state that his lower garment was up to the middle of his shins.
Hadith 1953
- " يا عمرو! إن الله عز وجل قد أحسن كل شيء خلقه. يا عمرو! - وضرب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بأربع أصابع من كفه اليمنى تحت ركبة عمرو فقال: - هذا موضع الإزار، ثم رفعها، [ثم ضرب بأربع أصابع تحت الأربع الأولى ثم قال: يا عمرو ! هذا موضع الإزار] ، ثم رفعها، ثم وضعها تحت الثانية، فقال: يا عمرو! هذا موضع الإزار ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Fulan Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that he was walking in such a state that his lower garment (izar) was hanging below his ankles, when suddenly the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) met him, and at that time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was holding his forehead and saying: "O Allah! I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, and the son of Your maidservant." Amr says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! My shins are thin." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Amr! Indeed, Allah Almighty has created everything beautifully. O Amr!" Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) placed the four fingers of his right hand below Amr's knee and said: "This is the place for the izar." Then he lifted them and placed four fingers (the width of the previous four fingers) below, and said: "This is the place for the izar." Then he lifted them and placed them below the second set of four fingers and said: "Amr! This is the place for the izar."
Hadith 1954
- " إن كنت عبد الله فارفع إزارك ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: I came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I was wearing an izar (lower garment), and it was moving. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Who is this?" I said: I am Abdullah bin Umar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you are truly a servant of Allah, then raise your izar." So I raised my izar up to half of my shins. After that, his lower garment remained like that until he passed away.
