Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

The servant of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), namely Ikrimah, says: I saw Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), when he wore an izar (lower garment), he would loosen its front part until its edge would touch the top of his feet, but from the back he would raise the izar. I said to him: Why do you tie the izar in this manner? He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) tie the izar in this manner.
