Hadith 1933
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: I came to you at night (to meet you), but the thing that prevented me from entering the house in which you were was that there was a picture of a man in the house, and there was another curtain in the house with designs, and it also had pictures on it. Order that the head of the picture be cut off so that it becomes like a tree, and order that the curtain also be cut." In another narration: "There is a curtain hanging on a wall in the house, and it has pictures on it. Cut off their heads and make bedding or cushions from it and have them trampled, for we do not enter a house in which there is a picture." In another narration: "Make two such cushions from this curtain that will be trampled, and order that the dog be taken out." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did so. Indeed, there was a puppy in your house that belonged to Hasan and Husayn (peace be upon them), and it was lying under their bundle of belongings. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibreel kept advising me to treat the neighbor well until I thought he would make him my heir."
