The Prophet’s doubt about the mouse
Hadith 1903
- (فُقِدَتْ أُمَّةٌ من بني إسرائيل؛ لا يُدرَى ما فَعَلَتْ؟! وإنّي لا أُراها إلا الفَأْرَ؛ [أَلا تَرَوْنَها] إذا وضعَ لها ألبانُ الإبِلِ لم تَشرب، وإذا وُضعَ لها ألبانُ الشَّاءِ شَرِبَتْ؟!) .
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A group from the Children of Israel was lost, and nothing was known about what happened to them. And I think they were transformed (metamorphosed) into mice, because you see that when camel milk is placed before a mouse, it does not drink it, but when goat milk is placed before it, it drinks it."
