Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Alqamah Quraishi says: We entered the house of the wife of the Messenger, Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), where Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was also present. When we mentioned performing ablution after eating something cooked on fire, Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) eating something cooked on fire, then he would perform prayer without (renewing) ablution. Someone said: O Ibn Abbas! Did you yourself see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) doing this? He pointed to his eyes with his hand and said: My own eyes have seen it.
