Hadith 1855
- " إذا دعي أحدكم إلى طعام فليجب، فإن كان مفطرا فليأكل، وإن كان صائما فليصل ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When someone is invited to a meal, he should accept it. Then, if he is not fasting, he should eat, and if he is fasting, he should pray (for the host)."

Hadith 1856
- عن أنس بن مالك: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أتى أم حرام، فأتيناه بتمر وسمن فقال: " ردوا هذا في وعائه وهذا في سقائه فإني صائم ".
Hazrat Thabit narrates from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Sayyidah Umm Haram (may Allah be pleased with her). We brought dates and ghee to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: "Put this (dates) back in the bowl and this (ghee) back in the waterskin, for I am fasting." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and led us in two units of voluntary prayer. He made Umm Haram and Umm Sulaym stand behind us, and me (Anas) stand to his right, as Thabit has narrated. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in voluntary prayer on a mat. When the prayer was completed, Umm Sulaym said: This is your beloved servant Anas; please supplicate to Allah for him. In response, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for every good and blessing for him in this world and the Hereafter. Then he said: "O Allah! Increase him in wealth and children, and bless him in what You give him." Anas says: My daughter informed me that my descendants have exceeded ninety, and there was no man among the Ansar who had more wealth than me. Then Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Thabit! Other than this ring, I do not own any gold or silver.
