Doing ‘aqiqah for oneself later in life
Hadith 1808
- " يعق عن الغلام ولا يمس رأسه بدم ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abd Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "‘Aqiqah will be performed for the child, and no blood will be applied to his head."
Hadith 1809
- " عق عن نفسه بعدما بعث نبيا ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ‘Aqiqah on his own behalf after his Prophethood.
