Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three things follow the deceased: his family, his wealth, and his deeds. Two things return and one thing remains with him. His family and his wealth return, and his deeds remain with him."
