Virtue of concealing the deceased’s faults and shrouding
Hadith 1779
- " من غسل ميتا فستره، ستره الله من الذنوب، ومن كفن مسلما، كساه الله من السندس ".
It is narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever bathes a deceased person and conceals his faults, Allah will conceal his sins, and whoever shrouds a Muslim, Allah will clothe him in fine silk garments."
