All affairs of a believer are good
Hadith 1762
- " عجبت لأمر المؤمن، إن أمره كله خير، إن أصابه ما يحب حمد الله وكان له خير ، وإن أصابه ما يكره فصبر كان له خير، وليس كل أحد أمره كله خير إلا المؤمن ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhaib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sitting among the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), when suddenly he (peace be upon him) smiled and said: "Will you not ask me why I smiled?" The Companions said: O Messenger of Allah! Why did you laugh? He (peace be upon him) said: "I am amazed at the affair of the believer; there is good for him in every matter. If something pleasing happens to him, he thanks Allah, and gratitude is better for him. And if something disliked befalls him and he is patient, that too is better for him. No one but the believer has good in every matter."
Hadith 1763
- " عجبا للمؤمن لا يقضي الله له شيئا إلا كان خيرا له ".
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How amazing is the believer! Whatever decision Allah makes for him, there is goodness in it for him."
