Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two sounds are accursed: the sound of the flute at the time of joy, and the sound of wailing and destruction at the time of calamity."
