Hadith 1755
- " حيثما مررت بقبر كافر فبشره بالنار ".
‘Amir bin Sa’d narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him), that a Bedouin came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: “My father used to maintain ties of kinship and he was such and such (i.e., a great) man. Where is he now (after death)?” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: “He is in the fire of Hell.” Upon hearing this, the Bedouin became saddened and asked: “Where is your father?” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: “Whenever you pass by the grave of a disbeliever, give him the glad tidings of the fire of Hell.” Later, that Bedouin became a Muslim and used to say: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has put me in difficulty; now I do not pass by the grave of any disbeliever except that I give him the glad tidings of the fire.”
