Hadith 1737
- " إن أشد الناس بلاء الأنبياء، ثم الذين يلونهم، ثم الذين يلونهم ".
Husayn bin Abdur Rahman narrates from Abu Ubaidah bin Hudhaifah, and he from his paternal aunt, Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she said: I went with some women to tend to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Due to the severity of the fever’s heat, water from a waterskin was dripping onto him. We (the women) said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray to Allah, so that He may remove your suffering. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The people who are tested the most are the Prophets, then those who are nearest to them (in rank), and then those who are nearest to them.”
Hadith 1738
- " إن من أشد الناس بلاء الأنبياء، ثم الذين يلونهم، ثم الذين يلونهم، ثم الذين يلونهم ".
Abu Ubaidah bin Hudhaifah narrates from his aunt, Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she said: We went with a few women to tend to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). There was a water-skin hanging above the Prophet (peace be upon him), and due to the heat of the fever, its drops were dripping onto him. We said: O Messenger of Allah! If you pray to Allah Almighty for healing, He will grant you healing. Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the people, the prophets are tested with the most severe trials, then those who are nearest to them in rank, then those who are nearest to them, then those who are nearest to them."
