Hadith 1722
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person feels pain, he should place his hand on the place of pain and recite this supplication seven times: «أعوذ بعزة الله وقدرته على كل شيء من شر ما أجد.» I seek refuge in Allah's might and His power over everything from the evil of what I feel."
Hadith 1723
Narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would fall ill, Jibreel Amin would recite this supplication and blow over him: "In the name of Allah, Who grants you health. May He cure you from every illness, from every envier when he envies, and from the evil of every evil eye."
Hadith 1724
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform ruqyah (spiritual healing) with these words: "O Allah! Lord of the people! Remove the suffering, grant healing, You are the Healer, there is no healing except Your healing, grant such a healing that leaves behind no illness." When the illness of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) increased during his final sickness, I would take his hand and pass it over his body and recite these words, but he withdrew his hand and began to supplicate: "O Allah! Forgive me and join me with the Highest Companion." Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that these were the last words I heard from the tongue of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
