Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that a scorpion stung the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was praying. When he finished the prayer, he said: "May Allah curse the scorpion; it leaves neither the one who is praying nor the one who is not praying." Then he asked for water and salt, applied it to the affected area, and kept reciting «قُلْ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْكٰفِرُوْنَ» «قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ» «قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ».
