Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who visits a sick person is in a garden of Paradise, and when he sits with him, mercy covers him."

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever goes to visit a sick person, he keeps entering (Allah's) mercy until he sits down, and when he sits down, he becomes immersed in mercy."
