Hadith 1632
- " إن كان في شيء من أدويتكم خير ففي شرطة محجم، أو شربة من عسل أو لذعة بنار، وما أحب أن أكتوي ".
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to visit a patient from the tribe of Muqanna’ and said: “I will remain sitting here until you get cupped, because I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘If there is any benefit in your remedies, it is in cupping, or drinking honey, or cauterization, but I dislike cauterization.’”

Hadith 1633
- " صدق الله، وكذب بطن أخيك ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "My brother is suffering from diarrhea." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give him honey to drink." He gave him honey to drink and came back and said, "I gave him honey, but because of it, the diarrhea increased." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him the same instruction three times. He came back a fourth time, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again said: "Give him honey to drink." He said, "I gave him honey, but the illness of diarrhea only increased." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah is true, and your brother's stomach is lying (meaning your brother's stomach was not ready to accept the cure)." He went and gave him honey again, (this time) he was cured.

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If there is any cure in something, then it is in cupping, drinking honey, or cauterization, but I dislike cauterization and do not prefer it."
