Calling with diminutive form of name as affection
Hadith 1577
- " كان يلاعب زينب بنت أم سلمة وهو يقول: يا زوينب! يا زوينب، مرارا ".
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to play with Sayyidah Zainab bint Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) and would often (affectionately) say: "Zuwainab! Zuwainab!"
